About

Who we are

We are a workplace culture consulting firm specialising in building thriving workplaces.

With a background in law, gender equity, and ‘boots on the ground’ leadership capability, we offer Australian organisations, like yours, a powerful approach to transform culture and prevent workplace sexual harassment.

We offer advice and training, delivered with authenticity, empathy and collaborative communication.

Together, we address psychological blocks, break through gender stereotypes, and ensure your organisation meets its legal and safety obligations.

Our Philosophy

Growing up in Central Western NSW, our co founders share a deep passion for rural Australia, its people, and our culture.

Our approach preserves the precious aspects of Australian culture that build strong teams – including mateship, humour and banter – while addressing the unchallenged issues that cause cultural dysfunction. We disarm, educate and empower your people to take ownership of their culture – through action, choice, mindset and courage.

Our Values

Passion

We ignite passion amongst your people, building a bridge between their why, their jobs, and the greater good.

IMPACT

Our impact is twofold; our impact on your people to create change for the better, and your people’s impact on their workplace, each other, and within their day-to-day lives.

LEGACY

Our work extends beyond what we do today; everything we do sets in place knowledge and standards that carry on to the next generation.

Why work with us: workplace culture consultants

EXPERTISE

With a combined 48 years’ experience in gender equity research, advocacy, law and military command, we lead and inform the national conversation on workplace culture and change management.

COMPLIANCE

The Australian Government has recently revised its legal and regulatory frameworks around sexual harassment in Australian workplaces. These reforms require employers to take reasonable and proportionate steps to eliminate sex discrimination and sexual harassment from the workplace. For some organisations, failure to comply with the legislation could lead to legal challenges and costly penalties. As experts with decades of experience in sex discrimination law, we are here to help demystify the reforms, ensuring your organisation complies with the new legislation.

INCLUSIVITY & SAFETY

Alongside meeting workplace health and safety requirements, we know inclusive workplaces enjoy increased profitability, productivity, and lower absenteeism. Our team helps your organisation prioritise inclusivity and wellbeing, for the benefit of all your employees.

Skye is a dedicated and ardent advocate for eliminating sexual harassment and unacceptable social behaviours.

Throughout the time that she has spent on the Program Advisory Committee and as Chair for the National No More Harm Conferences, the Australian and New Zealand Mental Health Association has come to rely on her professional input, insight and influence as a leader in the field.

Skye Charry

LLB, Grad Dip Legal Practice (Merit), PhD

CHIEF CONSULTANT + COFOUNDER

Dr Skye Charry is a gender equity consultant, with a background in sex discrimination law, author, speaker and an associate professor of law.

Growing up in Central Western NSW, Skye noticed some perplexing patterns of gender engagement when she entered the workforce. Later, as a law student, she realised nothing had been written about sexual harassment in rural Australia, so she did her own research. Based on findings from her PhD, Skye published the world’s first book on the nature and prevalence of sexual harassment in rural workplaces, Whispers From the Bush – The Workplace Sexual Harassment of Australian Rural Women.

Today, Skye consults extensively for commonwealth and state government, as well as various industry groups and organisations. Bringing warmth, heart, and empathy to her work, Skye has been engaged to review and develop gender equity solutions for Australia’s meat, forestry, agricultural, seafood and mining industries.

An accomplished international speaker, Skye’s views have also been published in the media and peer-reviewed journals. Skye has served as Vice President of the YWCA Canberra and Chair of ACT Ministerial Advisory Council for Women. She recently received the Chancellor’s Young Alumni Award (University of Canberra), for her contribution to sexual harassment in Australia.
